Toyboy & Robin - In Need

We are loving the sound of house/bass with RnB style vocal samples right now. This from ToyBoy & Robin is right up there with some of the best of this style.

Nicolas Jaar & Theatre Roosevelt - The Ego

This is absolutely amazing, my take you a couple of listens to get into but when you do it will be 'religious' as one of my friends told me about a recent Nicloas Jaar set in Croatia.

Thatmanmonkz - The Man EP

Modjo - Lady (Kaytranada Remix)

We love a good solid classic in the attic remix, this ticks all the boxes as well. With a deep vibrating bass, wonderful build ups and drops plus doesn't take anything away from the original too much. It's damn dope. Check out Kaytranada's remix of Janet Jackson's 'If' too.

Amtrac - Those Days (Viceroy Remix)

Viceroy always has a handle on tight remixes, rarely does he put out a bad one and this is another for the collection. Not only does he always pick a great track to tinker with, like in the cases of the Jet Life Remix series, but he makes it how you want it to sound in the first place.

This Amtrac EP also contains remixes by Kreap & Drel.

Bicep - Feel it

Bicep is 4 years old today, you they have given you a free track. Quickly quickly now.

They say - ' Without gettin' all soft, the support we have received over the years has been immense and means so much! From those early pushes we got from Throne of Blood Records,Tim Sweeney and Traveller Records to our very good friend Rory (who has been a huge help on the blog from day one, diggin' up total gems) to all those that supported and read our site from the beginning. As a way of saying thanks we've had a track mastered up for give away and uploaded a mix we did whilst in NYC last month. ♥

Rudimental 'Not Giving In' (Huxley remix) (Bondax Remix)

Who I ask you cannot enjoy this, the follow up to Rudimental's hugely successful Feel The Love.

Huxley and Bondax in with the remix. We cannot decide which better. You have a go. Deep house or Bass. Piano or Synth

Julio Bashmore - Husk

Brand new release from Julio's own label Broadwalk Records, always going to be hard to follow up from THE track of the summer 2012.

This is a slow starter with a simple clap beat and sound effects be throw out but develops into a great track, Bashmore builds and builds on this as the tune moves on.

Not his finest work but it's different and interesting and shows he doesn't want to sounds like a carbon copy on the scene.

Father Father after the jump for a treat....

Flume - Holdin On

I've been following Flume for quite some time now and played many tracks of his on the show. This is one of the best, tapping into the Garage sounds that are ever popular at the moment mixed with hip hop break beats, the Sydney based producer has create something pretty special here. This cross over makes this type of track unique, a head nodding number is what it is.

Real name Harley Streten is signed to the brilliant Australian label Future Classic, some tracks on his are more like M83 some are just plain big. I recommend looking up both's back catalogues if you like this. A few on my favourite of Flume's remixes and originals after the jump....

And a link to his competition that he just ran, on Beatport, to remix one of his latest tracks...

This week the lads are talking Romney, Pulling, Lance Armstrong and throw in what some would perhaps call an uncomfortable amount of masturbation jokes.

Some might say that this is a sign of the fall of society. A symbol of everything that's wrong with the youth of today. But those people are FOOLS. We're nothing more than pioneers on a vessel of music and chat sailing towards freedom.

JOIN US ON OUR JOURNEY. Bring some wanking jokes.

Justin Martin - Don't Go (Dusky Remix)

Dusky does it again with another cheeky remix. This time they show Justin Martin's Don't Go a bit of their melodic magic love. Justin lays the foundations for an already very uplifting and orchestral track while Dusky gives it the energy to deliver that punch. Love the harp and bass. Released 16/10 from Justin Martin - Ghettos & Gardens Remixes Vol. 1 on dirtybird If you like this check out SIDEXSIDE tomorrow at CRUCIFIX LANE where dirtybirds Justin Martin and Redlight will be playing. Tickets are close to sold out!

Ben Howard - The Fear (Moonlight Matters Rework)

Well this is a refreshing track, a rework of Ben Howards acoustic original, this is chipry and feel good so much so that it isntantly strikes a chord with the listener. The second half on the track builds slowly to a explosion of happiness, like the end of a hollywood feel good film but better.

Moonlight Matters cleary knows his stuff as this rework is seamless.

Solid Fix - A brand new mix

A mix that sounded better last night after a few than it does in the cold light of day to be perfectly honest with you. This is a first recording of off my spanking new control panel.

However after a shakey start it becomes a brilliant mixtape of all of my favourite tunes at the minute. Treat yo Self.

Track list after the bounce.

Chvrches - The Mother We Share

I really really like Churches or Chvrches as they need to be spelt when you search then on the internet that they had these days. I found out about them when I went to a gig at Camden Koko and they were supporting a headliner act.

They are a synth band with a whole lot about them and here is a remix that someone did for them. Listen if you want.

Electric Sheikh - October 4th 2012

Electric Sheikh - October 4th 2012 by Electric Sheikh on Mixcloud

On this week's Electro Sheikh humanity recoils and gasps in amazement as the great minds of Nate Goodman and Cian Agnew finally do battle with Ollie Hughes of Scarlett's Roses. They clash on all the big topics of the day including a man who thinks he's Batman, how best to get off with a lady, what's the best sweet from the 90s and of course, how many people can you fit on a whale's tongue?

Miss this and fall behind the rest of the Human Race. Plus all the best new tunes from round the world including music from Justin Martin,

Other Media - Killing Them Softly

Look at Brad Pitt's right hand. That's been on Jolie's boobs.

Killing Them  Softly is a film which has left me feeling slightly empty. Usually I come out of a cinema feeling either elated for having seen something brilliant that I can’t wait to tell everyone about, or full of horrible wanky scathing sarcasm that I can vent over the airwaves on Reprezent. This film though. It smacks of ‘meh’
.
Set during the lowliest of the low points of economic downturn and to the soundtrack of speeches from the US Presidential elections of 2008, It tells the story of a pair of low rent criminals who are tasked by their boss to rob a high stakes poker game.  Trouble inevitably ensues, and various hitmen are called upon to murder various people in various ways over various days. Pretty standard stuff, and I guess that’s why I feel pretty underwhelmed by the whole thing. It’s not exactly territory that’s never been touched before, and the story seems like it should have a black comedy feel to it along the lines of Slevin or maybe even something Guy Ritchie threw together while not sweeping chimneys. It’s played so straight though that it’s almost disjointed – and while the film is really brilliantly directed (one death scene in particular is captivating. Who could have known a bullet to the face could look so appealing?) and every single performance is flawless, you just know what’s round the corner at every turn.

Look out for yet another brilliant performance from James Gandolfini as an alcoholic New York hitman struggling to get the job done due to his own demons - one of the 2 most interesting characters who are criminally underused. Other than that, will someone PLEASE throw a pie?

One word review: Craptacular

Other Media - Netflix

Let’s face facts. TV is dying. It’s in a state of chronic illness at the moment, coughing and spluttering into the air, shitting its nappy and vomiting Simon Cowell’s bank statements all over the floor while the rest of us stand round its’ bed and mourn. Meanwhile the internet continues to – rightly – take over our lives and provide us with 24 hour access to the entire spectrum of world events, history, entertainment and lovely lovely tits. You’re probably reading this very rant on some kind of screen right now and who could blame you. TV would only be able to wheel out Bruce Forsyth to shout these words at you, at that would just be unkind to a man who has been running on Red Bull and cocaine since 1997.

No no no, it’s time to face it. TV is now only good for Sky Sports 1 – 4 + News. Everything else can gash off.  I’m not the only one to think it either – production companies have started to turn to internet streaming sites to broadcast their wares now that TV is running out of advertising revenue.
Some of you may remember a brilliant TV show called Arrested Development which was broadcast from 2003-2006 on Fox. If not, then you should flay yourself as you cannot be counted among our adoring Electric Sheikh public. It’s probably the funniest TV show of whatever we call the decade 2000-2009. It’s pretty much responsible for the careers of Michael Cera & Will Arnett and served as the catalyst for Jason Bateman’s resurgence in popularity. It’s an endless conveyer belt of brilliant jokes and quotable moments, but it was cancelled halfway through Season 3 due to a lack of  viewing figures. Since then Arrested Development has enjoyed massive DVD sales and the word has continued to spread over 6 years until demands for either a new series or a film became deafening. It was too much a guaranteed money spinner to be ignored, and so a new series is set for broadcast in early 2013. Not on Fox though. Fox can’t afford it. So the producers have turned to Netflix.

You’ve probably heard of Netflix due to the recent hullabaloo surrounding their launch last year in the UK.  They’re slowly growing in popularity over here, but in the US they’ve been active since 1997 and are currently enjoying a revenue stream worth 20 Billion US$. That’s bigger than a majority of TV revenue streams, and remarkably it’s mostly from subscription fees rather than advertising. So people are voluntarily handing over money to Netflix rather than utilise the free TV channels. This is why I think TV is dying.
Netflix (and here in the UK its’ brilliant Amazon owned rival LoveFilm) offers a massive choice of TV shows, movies, stand up routines, music videos, short films, absolutely everything – completely unlimited and available 24 hours a day – for as little as 6 quid a month. Where TV wants me to wait until 10pm to watch South Park on Comedy Central, Netflix will let me watch it on my phone at 9am in McDonalds in Liverpool Street Station. E4 will only broadcast The Inbetweeners post 9pm. I watched it on the bus to work the other day on Netflix. They even show US drama Breaking Bad – and I can’t stress how amazing that is – whereas it’s not shown on any TV station in he UK (definitely check that out – I’m only at the start of season 3, but Nate and Tom are on season 5).

Ultimately we’re about to see the YouTube generation take over, and they’re used to content on demand. Nothing else will do for them. So jump on the bandwagon and start streaming. Netflix, LoveFilm, even iPlayer and 4OD count. TV on demand. Let’s put Forsyth into stud.

Destiny's Child - Say My Name (Cyril Hahn Remix)

Is this what you might call a guilty pleasure, if so pleasure me up baby!

A deep house version of the Destiny's Child original with the vocals slowed down and deepened, it has nuanses of UK Bass touches to it including simple kicks and snares that really make this track one that would want to play over and over. When I first heard this i thought the continued vocals were a mistake and Cyril should have stuck with a loop of a few vocal segments. However after having this on repeat I will retract that, this is a wonderful rework of a classic. Free download too, what more can we ask for on a Friday, I'm sure B & co would be proud.

Copy Paste Soul - I Need Ya

I found this before MacAnus did but I didn't put in on the blog, silly me.

This is a UK Bass/Futuregargae delight, with sounds of Disclsoure and pioneers before them this track sounds like its been around for a while even on its first listen.

Sub heavy, UK rave inspired broken beat riddims from this unknown South London based producer, Copy Paste Soul. //Released// 12" Vinyl - 10th Sept / Beatport - 24th Sept

Tuesday 25 September 2012

Robosonic - The Edge

Robosonic, The Edge a B side from their cleverly entitled Over the Edge EP the A side of this being a track called Over, is a classy produced Deep House number.

It has a familiar sample behind it that is instantly recognisable however this was not first used by Dr.Dre, Trevor Rabin’s riff is no doubt to resinate one again through this track in clubs over the country. Off Recordings who released this mid September are onto a winner with this one.

I looking forward to giving this one some airplay on Thursday nights show on 107.FM

The over after the break for your listening pleasure.

MNDR - Feed Me Diamonds

Loving MNDR at the moment, the music jumps out at me from my music player as I try and take in the countless new tracks I've put on there. Amanda Warner's voice isn't exactly original and nor is the music behind it, but it all works swell together.  The big bass and the haunting the track is very listenable.

This latest track due to be released on 14th August and draws inspiration from the story of performace artist Marina Abramovic’s father’s death and the stories of assassinated monarchs, in which, it was believed that many were slowly killed by being fed small doses of diamonds which eventually caused severe internally bleeding within the gastrointestinal tract. Lovely stuff.

A current favourite from MNDR is this:

LeeFest 2012

We don't usually write about festival that the ES team usually attends but there is something special going on down in the rolling fields of Greater London. The weekend just gone, (29th-30th June) down in Highams Hill Farm saw the 7th annual festival the was originally held in Lee Denny's back garden, now this has grown into something spectacular and has a feel that no other festival we have ever be to can give you, warmth and a noticeable lack of pretentiousness.

This is apparent when you can see three generations of the Denny family setting up the event, Lee's father even is the chief litter picker on the day. Lee is seen throughout the day talking to the festival goers and you can see he is visibly happy to see others having a good time.

To the music and this totally match the vibe of the day, up and coming, exciting acts with plenty to give the crowd. This was split over 3 large stages and 2 smaller and there was something or everyone, rock, indie, ska, reggae, dance, dubstep, house, garage. Over 2000 turned up to watched over 100 acts over the weekend This made the crowd you watched the groups with simply fans of music not assigned to one genre and makes for a more pleasant festival experience. Once the acts had finished there sets they would come into the crowd and watch the other bands, which is one of the most refreshing things I have seen from musicians in recent times.

The highlight might have to have been Man Like Me, a Smorgasbord of an act with an 80s synth keyboard player in full neon pastel suit, a indie rocker, a saxophone player complete with skinny tie and a vocalist in full traditional African attire. Nothing says they would go together but they couldn't have been more perfect, the songs where infectious getting crowds in waves over to the main stage and dancing like maniacs ourselves very much included.

It's hard really to decide which day was the better one, for one the music never seemed to stop from doors open to doors close each day, staggered from stage to stage so you didn't miss a thing. The head liners of each night were something special Jakwob gave us energetic heavy beats for that final push on the Friday whereas the Mystery Jets on the main stage on the Saturday was a wonderful sing along to tracks such as 'Two Doors Down' & 'Young Love'.

Any profit made by the event is to be split between next year’s festival and Kids Company charity which is another reason why this festival is simply the purest and unadulterated ones out there.
All in all this is probably the best festival I have been to and a special thanks to all the organisers who set it up to be different from the rest. I hope that LeeFest has a long and fruitful future so I can visit this special place every year until I'm old and grey. If you missed out you really should rethink what you are doing around the same time next year.

There are too many other notable and stand out acts at LeeFest 2012 to be able to write about now so after the jump are my pick of the weekends artists that we heard...

Thursday 21 June 2012

PBR Streetgang - You Ready

I have to add this as I cannot get this mix out of my head, alas not many people will actually be able to hear the finished copy of this as I spoke to the lovely Jamie Russell from Hypercolour, the label releasing this and they have confirmed that there will only be 300 copies of this being made on white label vinyl only. So no MP3 for us. :(

Make do for now with this clip for now and just sing it in your head as a special treat.

Drop Out Orchestra featuring Christopher Norman - In the Dark

I can't help but look at these two artists and think of an uncle who can't quite let go of his youth, still staying up drinking all night at dodgy bars in town and always with an unsuitable much younger woman on his arm every time you see him. A musician that never quite made it if you will.

The Swedish duo, signed to the Eskimo Records label, are a refreshing change to a genre that has been undated with people mimicking what has been successful before it.

They mix crisp guitar riffs with big basslines and cascading synths to great effect and the NSFW remix creates a nice 80s electro feel to it, whihc is exactly what I would have done!

Check out some other great bits of music my Drop Out orchestra after the jump...

Kahn - Angeles

Like many of Kahns previous tracks, Angeles takes a catchy vocal progression, cuts it up and uses it as a coagulant for his liquid synth and understated drums. Pure garage influence on this one, the level of restraint is perfect, with the omnipresence of it about to really kick off throughout the tune, and knowing what Kahn is like with VIP's, expect a punchier reiteration in the future. A solid follow up to the recent Margeaux EP, with a stronger and accessible vibe, it is definately more dancefloor friendly, albeit in a completely different way to the recently (and limitedly) pressed, aptly named Percy.
Dropped a week or so ago digitally, vinyl also out now, release by Bristols Soul Motive. Remix by Superisk on the flip.

Tuesday 22 May 2012

Julio Bashmore - Au Seve

Julio Bashmore is not one of these fly by night producers who are in the Beatport 100 one week then next never heard from except an occasional dodgy nightclub like this familiar face, on no siree. He will tell you himself that between jet-setting around the globe, becoming a voice for the people via his Radio One show and generally living the high life he has found time to set up his own record label, under the moniker of Broadwalk Records.

This track will be the first release from the label and will be out on 2nd July.

Tuesday 15 May 2012

Flight Facilities - With You Featuring Grovesnor

Here we have it, the long awaited next single from the ever mysterious Flight Facilities. This new track is another outstanding piece of music as all their others have been, the last being 'Foreign Language' released in August 2011 & before that 'Crave You' out March 2010. This isn't exactly the most productive a bands ever been, with average of a track ever 8 or so months and no word of an LP on the horizon but with Flight Facilities it is worth the wait. You can tell that this has been put together with love and attention, the production on this is crisp, with nods to past acts who have gone for a future pop feel. Daft Punk being the first name the springs to mind.

The video is something special, with manga type artistry and references to Megaman and this video.

And just in case you didn't know Grovesnor is the former drummer from Hot Chip, Rob Smoughton, pretty damn dope. Flight Facilities are the closest that anyone has come to being as hip as Daft Punk.

After the jump the gorgeous video and remixes...

Groove Armada - No Knock EP on Hypercolour

I have been a Groove Armada fan ever since I became interested in music, back in 1998 'borrowing' a siblings Northern Star album to listen to it back to back a pretend I was as trendy as the person who bought it in the first place. So imagine my dismay when they weren't on the line up to play the Lovebox festival's 10th anniversary, a festival they set up from the very start in 2002. Then my mind began about the last album or even the last EP I had heard from them which was over 2 years ago and I thought my fears had become a realisation and they would be no more.

Not just yet anyway - is the message we all received last week when Andy & Tom announced they would be doing a Full Live Groove Armada Show for one time only. This was all well and good but now we are bouyed  by the release of a new EP, No Knock, which suggests there is still plenty of life in the 30 something  lads yet.

This has been released as a Beatport Exclusive via HyperColour Records which is a great move from both camps, Groove Armada as it seems Hypercolour's other younger siginings have rubbed off on them, giving them a deeper minimal and contemporary feel to their music. Like in the instance of the first track on the EP, 'Oh Tweak Me'. This could have been created by one of the newer break through artists we have heard in the past few months, the likes of Huxley, Disclosure or Maya Jane Coles. In turn this would be a great opportunity for some of Hypercolour's newer artists to work with some of the UK's longest running a most successful dance acts, a win win situation. If you haven't yet heard of the HyperColour label, then check them soon as they have an ethos that seems to stand out from many other UK based labels, having the execs on the ground in Brighton, Bristol, Leeds and London going to events and snapping up signed talent on the spot. They are some of the most cutting edge artists with the potential ability to redefine genres.

All in all this is a testament to Groove Armada's ability to stay fresh and stay appealing even when the industry changes around them, to engage younger audiences and create classics in each decade will mean they will never become a by-product of their time. Superstylin'!

The rest of the EP after the break...

Drop Out Orchestra - Mixtape May 2012 & new EP

Scarlett's Roses - Nightmares (SOBeats Anthem Mix)

Something completely different now, this is a proper electro stomper as they were meant to be made, I can see this filling dance floors in clubs all over. It has a little something for everyone, heavy basslines, meaty drops, harmonies and it even has a tight lyricist with a South London drawl under the name of Ollie Hughes. All this wrapped up in a bow with a fun video.

S.O.Beats is the master behind the remix and he has given the overall feel of it a track as a party beat with mass appeal, knowing what audience he is directing the band towards. It is a marvellous mix between the two artists each complementing each others genres well.

Scarlett's Roses are a London based ska/pop band, and if you haven't heard of them yet maybe you should have as we predict big things in the not too distant future, check them out on their snazzy website here. Their catchy tunes will have you humming them throughout the day.

After the jump, a cosy little acoustic cover of VV Brown's Shark in the Water, and more remixes to follow....

Goldroom - Fifteen featuring Chela

Another cracking tune from the man of the moment, Josh Legg continues to consistently dish out a high standard of music. What we love about him is his refusal to buy into trends and to be influenced too much by other artists, which means Goldroom is carving out his own unique style that is instantly recognisable.

This features Chela, aka Chelsea Wheatley from a Melbourne based punk rock band, The Gingers. This dreamy, it's hypnotic and the crisp production & haunting vocals from Chela means Fifteen becomes part of a soundtrack to you life. We defy you not to want to listen to this at least a few times today.

Also as he is a jolly nice fellow, this is available for free download.

After the Jump is the interview that Goldroom did for us, with an exclusive minimix heard on 107.3FM...

Jessie Ware - 110%

Jessie's unique voice came into our ears after the remix of Running by the irresistible force that is Disclosure. Now she is back with a brand new tack produced by none other than Julio Bashmore.

She has a very unique voice and you may felt like you have heard her somewhere else before, this is because Jessie in 2010 lent her vocals to producer SBTRKT for his catchy and squelchy track Nervous. She also preformed with Man Like Me and performed as a backing singer for old school friend Jack Peñate and is about to be releasing colloborations with L-Vis 1990 and Two Inch Punch. This is to be a big year for Jessie Ware.

Video directed by Kate Moross

Major Lazer - Get Free feat. Amber (of Dirty Projectors)

There has bee quite a lot of hype behind this track as this is the first release on the second ML album that is to be released sometime this year. This track in my humble opinion is a masterpiece, its understated, Amber's voice is beautiful with it's Caribbean vibes and soaring vocals make you easily connect with the song instantly, so much so much this has been on repeat at ES towers all morning.

The video is exactly what I expect from Major Lazer as well, none of these Napoleon Dynamite style awkward families in nondescript backwater US towns which Diplo seems to enjoy: exhibit A. The 'Get Free' is an old school cartoon in its finest form with vibrant colours and glitchy animation.

Join the fight against the Zombie army and sign up with Major Lazer (just pop in your email address) to get the free download zip here, you will get a lovely Bonde do Role Remix with this which reminds us of a children's TV version of the track, bring all sorts of nostalgia flowing through the brainbox.

Disclosure - Boiling ft. Sinead Harnett

Fresh from the back of their remix of Jessie Ware's Running track, Disclosure have tapped up another relatively unknown talented female vocalist, this time in the form of Sinead Harnett.

The future garage duo are the hottest ticket in town, quite rightly as everything they release has instant likability and resinates with odl garage fans and deep house heads alike.

This will be included in 'The Face' EP released on Greco-Roman on June 4th.

Dublin Aunts - No Holding Back

Dublin Aunts have only just popped up on our radar and what a track to burst into our peripherals, Adam Padayhag & Xavier Millis from Melbourne, say their band interests are 'Not working. Making music. Playing music. Long walks on the beach. Cow tipping. Dancing in the DJ Booth. Not taking requests. Drinking until we're gods.' - This makes us like them even more.

Check out this re-edit of Waynie Wonds 'No Holding back' track - it's dubby, it's a tad Balaericy, its' a whole load of brilliant.

Laurent Garnier ft. LBS Crew - Jacques in the Box

It's a new fancy Video from Ed Banger records Laurent Garnier which is taken from the Timeless EP. Watch, study, learn. what we don't now yet....

Jack Bartman - Kolypeptic

We are happy to give you an exclusive to ES track, by the very talented new kid on the block Jack Bartman. For anyone who listens to our radio show on Reprezent Radio 107.3FM , we played Eden, it reminded us of Aeroplane's music, which is available after the jump, and then we had Jack Bartman on the phone to talk to us about his music.

Today we are very excited give you his new track which is more on the same in terms of production values and showing the technical ability that jack obviously has in bundles. Kolypeptic samples 80s pop style vocals with sounded down rasping snares and is a solid chilled electronic tune. This showcases that he can adapt and have very different sounding song, we look forward to the LP.

Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack (Viceroy "Jet Life" Remix)

Another brilliant tropical remix from the Viceroy boy, this is along the same lines as The Back to Cali one he releases a few months ago. See all of his remixes after the jump...

La Zebra - After School EP

This is fresh in from La Valigetta Label, it is sure to create a buzz as a lot of their music they produce does:

22-year-old, DJ and Producer Luigi III started to compose tracks under the name La Zebra from his college dorm room, and in just a few short months thereafter, his work had begun to gain worldwide exposure.
Pulling heavy influences from the golden years of disco, La Zebra s sound is as funky as it gets. With his originals being remixed by many distinguished disco house talents such as Justin Faust, Xinobi, The Phantom’s Revenge, Leonardus and of course, Luigi s very own, LBCK.
Playing in various clubs up and down Southern California (& now Europe), La Zebra has shared the stage with some of the worlds most recognized dance music talents, such as Treasure Fingers, Classixx, Steve Aoki, Steed Lord, Villians and more.
Out April 10th on BEATPORT Exclusive.

Alex Metric- Ammunition EP

Metric has wrapped up with Rave Weapon single into a lovely little EP so it can go in your MP3 player with a lovely logo and allsorts, what a lovely fellow.

It's good as well, no wonder so many people in the music industry are loving what he is doing, even Miike Snow have tapped him up into their new label venture, ROBOTBERGET & InGRD

The second track, Andbody Else has a Daft Punk nu-disco aeroplane feel about it, everything that we love right now. Long gone are the days when I was the only person dancing at his gigs (see picture after the jump)

New AM tour dates also after the break. Plus added free download!

Cypress Hill feat. Deadmau5 - Failbait

When I first ever heard Deadmau5 I never thought I would hear him doing a track with an East LA rap posse but that it what has happened and full credit to Mr Zimmerman as he has produced a fine sounding track.

Deadmau5 hasn't done what I first thought he would and simply put electronic synths to appeal to mass audiences who enjoy what right now. He has obviously studied Cypress Hill's style and technique and adapted a clever break beat esque loop behind then which reminds me of the work of English electronic producers who work with UK Hip-hop groups like Scruff, samples galore are chucked in and it works so well.

Expect this tune to grow and grow on you. More Cypress Hill after the jump, for nostalgia you see.
