Miike Snow - Devil's Work

It seems like an eternity since something new came out from the geniuses that are Karlsson, Winnberg & Wyatt but the wait is over. Their fantastic hugely successful debut album was such an inspiration to me that was one of the things that convinced me to try and get into radio, to share music like this with the world.

I digress, the new track has the Miike Snow stamp on it, high pitching melodic singing, fast drum beats and solid piano chords. However, for me, it fails to make that initial factor of amazement, possibly I have become a little more de-sensitised to them from listening to their self title first album for over a month when it was first released. Having said that I like this more and more when I listen again.

Judge for yourselves.....

Long Beach City Kids - Chuwee feat. Real Caviar

We adore the LBCK, this is music how it was meant to be, fast, lively and exciting. Not to everyone's taste but you might be able to call this a guilty pleasure.Alex Noble and Luigi III are again like a lot of producers very much disco inspired however as they say on their Soundcloud page ' Their unique style is highly versatile, but can be best described as the uncharted realm where big-room funk meets crafty synths, epic builds and viciously heavy drums.'

This new track with Chuuwee is no different, which is due for release on the 16th December, and features the hip-hop artist that is very laid back and deliberate as seems to be the trend now. It works very well and you find yourself bouncing your head to the beat almost immediately.

Check out their most brilliant video to another track 'Start' which was release almost a year prior to the current one.

Oskar - 30,000 Feet Above

Nu-disco is going from strength to strength and I would same the same about Oskar. Oskar reigns from Melbourne with a love of late New York style Disco & French House. He only began making music in 2010 from his home town in Melbourne. He is currently seeking new management according to his soundcloud.

I my my discovery of Oskar through his recent EP entitled 'Oh My!' which has a disco nuances that could resonate through any decade since the disco revolution. However he stamps his own chop and change fresh new mark on this.

I immediately download most of his back catalogue, as you should to if you like, which i have most kindly put all in one place, after the jump.

Louis La Roche - F.U.B.A.R

Plain and simple a new free download from the 21 year old producer from Norwich that is Louis La Roche, he is quite possible the best thing to come our of Norfolk since Alan Partridge, Coleman's Mustard and Lord Nelson.

Check out this track that could have come straight out of the 80s with it's huge guitar riffs. Look out for his ever nearer debut album. F.U.B.A.R stands for fucked up beyond all recognition, just so you know.

Daft Punk - leaked tracks from 2012 album 'Sky Dive'

Now I don't usually get overly excited about rumours or 'leaks' like this as I have been made to look silly before, once when I was 6 my friend asked me what the capital of Thailand was and as I eagerly demonstrated my vast knowledge of the world before I could get the full name out I was gasping for air with a sharp shooting pain from my testicles all the way up my kidneys.

I learnt two things that day, don't be too keen to flaunt to everybody wisdom that you believe they wouldn't know as you my look foolish and also getting in the balls really really hurts. I vowed to have neither of these to happen to me again.

However when possible frivolous Daft Punk rumours come out, I get all light-headed and almost immediately believe that they are the gospel no matter how nonsensical they may appear.

This latest and dare I say it more credible one, was sent to thedaftclub, and went along the lines of this:

'Hey guys and girls <3
My name’s Emma, I’m 19 and i live in London UK!
My dad works at Virgin Records in the UK and has access to the servers on Their Computers. He Came home Friday night with a USB stick, i use it from time to time for my files for Uni. I Had to put some photos from my computer to my dads so i used His USB on Sunday. When I know i did, i found something interesting...
I found a file on the USB titled ‘Daft Punk – Sky Dive (2012) (Previews Promo)'
This along with the leaked promos of the never heard before tracks leaves quite a compelling argument in her favour:
Daft Punk - LCD (LED) *Sky Dive Leaked Tracks* by GlobalDanceElectronic
Daft Punk - Taking Control *Sky Dive Leaked Tracks* by GlobalDanceElectronic
Daft Punk - Waiting Line (Feat. Mr Oizo *Sky Dive Leaked Tracks* by GlobalDanceElectronic

To add to the speculation, on November 11th, 2011 the logo of the official Facebook page, Myspace page and official website of Daft Punk changed to a red theme. Daft Punk’s logo has changed for every new album or tour: red-orange (Homework), chrome (Discovery), black (Human After All), blue (Alive 2007).

Maybe everyone is getting too excited about it so for now, just enjoy the previews because if they are or if they aren';t Daft punk they are pretty damn good.

Riva Starr & Fatboy Slim (feat. Beardyman) - Get Naked (Dub Mix)

We might be a little behind with this but it was only released on Beatport two days ago, so we are sort of topical still.
London Based, Stefano Miele Riva Starr has teamed up with the tour de force that is Norman Cook and beatboxer Beardyman to produce this excellent destined for the clubs track.

I've found this to be the best remix of it so far, with it's pastiches to classic club tracks that have gone before it, a rasping drum beat, plinky electro sounds and a menacing bass line. It all goes together quite perfectly and makes me quite nostalgic.

Benji Boko - One Day, One Sound, One Cloud feat.Yoko Ono.

I am absolutely loving Benji Boko at the moment, not only do we have him on tonight's radio show but his obvious love for what he does is infectious. See his promo video after the jump and I defy anyone who doesn't get a little bit tingly watching it!

This latest track that came out on the 14th November, Benji claimed it was one of the best days he had ever had in the studio, he had been sent sounds from all over the world by people and he made them into this solid piece of music.

Don't forget to vote for benji in Dj Shadow's Scale it Back Competition of a remix of a Little Dragon track, you can do it here, http://remix.djshadow.com/tracks/86 , closes on the 25th November.

Treasure Fingers - Take My Hand

This reminds me of house music from my youth, being in a sweaty club dressed to the nines whilst thumping subs with looped funk infused beats pounded through the airwaves. Good times had by all, and Defected records know a talented producer/DJ when they hear one.

That is why they snapped up the Brooklyn based, Ashley Scott Jones as soon as they could. This new track is just as special as his others which I have added after the jump.

This track was released today and I expect more from him in 2012, as he is already a grandesque figure on the club music scene with remixes of Chromeo, Alex Metric, Empire of the Sun, Miike Snow and  Tensnake all under his belt.

Not much to say about this video apart from that Seeing A-Trak pissing out of his mouth and Armand as a groin face has made my day.

Louis La Roche - Gimme Gimme

So summer is officially over, batten down the hatches, stoke the fires, lock up your daughters etc etc, but we aren't ready to give up the feeling of the unexpected wave of al fresco fun that descended upon London last weekend.

This Louis La Roche number, Gimme Gimme, encapsulates our feeling here at ES and these two tracks have been on play near enough none stop for the past couple of weeks.

This is the beginning of something huge from now and into 2012 for Louis LR, real name Bret Ewels, as this is a double sided release from his debut album 'Hello You' which is due to come out soon.

Shlohmo - Just Us

This track is spellbinding - it sounds like droplets of happiness gently cascading down a bottomless well, but in an 8 bit world. This is beautifully messy and as the tune continues you assume it will soon fall over on itself however it simply becomes more mesmerising. This track comes from the much acclaimed Bad Vibes album.

His video, produced by Arthur Chance, goes well with the tranquillity of the piece. The televisions become effectively kaleidoscopes but you can see all this by watching the video below, can't you.....

Aeroplane - Big Boys Don't Cry (DJ Mehdi Tribute)

Big love for the main man Vito de Luca who has created this track in honour of his friend Dj Mehdi. He stated;

“I’m not good with words. But somehow since Tuesday I couldn’t think right and something needed to get out. Music being the only medium I know how to use, here it is. It’s called ” Big Boys Don’t Cry”. Once again, my thoughts go out to all my friends who are going through hard times right now”

Electro Sheek - Episode 21

Moustache Machine - Pluton

According to the Parisian record label 'Yeah!/Dish Records' - this whole band, track & EP are named after an incident in Miami in 1986.
The Miami Dade police department and the Miami coastguard located and seized, the Pluton, a submarine especially made for smuggling.  on board they found and confiscated 7 tonnes of Cocaine, which was labelled 'Moustache Machine'.

The Only Way Is Armageddon

Pointless. We're all doomed

The world collectively nervously swallowed last week when a mad old man in the States predicted the end of civilisation as we know it. He predicted the Rapture - i.e the return of Jesus, the saving of all who are faithful to the word of God and the subsequent 5 months of hell on Earth until society comes abruptly to a close. His proof for these terrifying claims came when he noticed a mathematical algorithm within the New Testament which pointed at Saturday May 21st as a significantly disastrous day for mankind. He was laughed out of the mainstream media in virtually all major outlets in every country on Earth, BUT REPENT UNBELIEVERS! Just as atheists all over the globe sat back in their sofas and smugly grinned, The Only Way Is Essex managed to bag the Audience Award Bafta and the world as we know it started to collapse around our very ears.

Strange Talk - Eskimo Boy (Vanguard Remix)

Bam and those West Welsh lads have done it again. It seems like most things we write about on here seem to be from Wales or Australia, and that trend won't stop just yet.

Strange Talk the hotly tipped new Melbourne based indie boys, who have a very Two Door Cinema Club / Pheonix sound mixed with a bit of MGMT, which in our view still isn't a bad thing. Have had their Eskimo Boy track remixed by one of the current hottest French House artists out there, VanGuard.

Anyway.......don't mind me, have yourself a cheeky listen, only a cheeky one mind.

Other Media - The Apprentice

He's back! Armadillo faced Amstrad peddler Lord Alan Sugar has returned to our screens for yet another series of wanker-backstabbathon The Apprentice!

Two bits of good news here - firstly I have recently purchased a massive HD television, meaning that I can see Lord Alan's entire potholed mush with the same awe that I'm sure Galileo had when he first pointed his telescope at the moon. Secondly, the producers have REALLY gone all out to find some proper detestable bastards to dance for our amusement.

SebastiAn - Love in Motion (feat. Mayer Hawthorne)

This is the second track that I've heard of being released from Ed Banger Records new golden boys upcoming album, Total, due for release and the end of May. SebastiAn's first was Embody which was a heavy slow dance type beat and this is more in the same vain.

Check out the brilliant video after the jump of the SebastiAn - Embody directed by 'SO ME', who also directed Justice's bloody brilliant D.A.N.C.E.

Mayer Hawthorne and his soul background gives the song a late 80s Prince vibe and makes this tune sound quite nostalgic but still very now.

Swick - Grow Up (Cassian Remix)

Swick, aka Danny Omerhodic is apparently 'another one of these obscenely young & talented Australian DJ/Producer types' but I can know find exactly how old he is, he is talented however. This is why fellow Melbournian Cassian has picked up on his 'Grow Up' track and given it a rather solid remix, tightening it up around the edges and making the track a must for any outdoor sun parties being had this summer.

Cassian, originally CSK OK, is signed to the Australian record label Bang Gang 12" and has been awfully busy these past few months with other remixes and his own track. I've added one after the jump.

Hervé – Together (C.R.S.T Remix)

The ‘Cheap Thrills’ Label boss who hasn’t released any music of his own for a while has this as part of an EP unleashed about 2 weeks ago, called Together. Its inspired many remixes but this from the Welsh new wave rave garage quartet C.R.S.T, who are getting huge around and about the place right now.

I first came to notice C.R.S.T when they remixed The XX and from what I've heard they are very good a what they do.

Still trying to find out what C.R.S.T stands for mind, the best Ive come up with is Cardiff's Rather Substandard Transportation. Let us know if you know....
